As the cue moves up, move the right hip slightly up and back, pulling the left hip down toward the opposite direction of the target

It is very important to play golf well. Some beginner golfers wonder why I can't get a feel for my drive, which always causes me to HIT a bad shot. What exactly is this about. Don't worry about the following small make up to teach you the three steps of the bar, learn these three steps, the bar is not a problem.

Step 3 on the pole

On the bar, shift your weight to the right side of your body. You most likely already know this, but it's possible to take this too far, causing your upper body to lean too far to the right. Not only does it make you move like a robot at your cousin's wedding, it also affects the quality of your touch.

The way you go up the bar

To move the club up to the top, you need a turn, not a tilt. Traditionally, you roll your shoulders, not your hips; In fact, on the contrary, it is a whole body movement. It is recommended to think of your top bar as 3 separate movements.

1, move

The transfer on the bar is very important. We need to shift weight to the right foot as we go up the bar. The movement should be obvious, but not too much. If you shift too much, you'll shift your weight to the left side of your right leg. And it doesn't have to be a whole body shift, as long as it stays under the upper body, which should be stationary.

2, fixed

As the cue moves up, move the RIGHT HIP up and back slightly, pulling the left hip down and against the target. At the top of the bar, you should feel your right hip higher than your left.

3, winding

If you do the first two moves correctly, when you turn your upper body, your left shoulder will move down and in the opposite direction of your target. Your right shoulder will move in the opposite direction, up and toward the target.

To get the right feeling, swing with only your left hand. Where the left hand stops, for the right hand, is also the ideal position for the top of the bar. When you go up, you feel your upper body leaning too far toward the target, but that's what it feels like to do it right.
