Boston finished T2 last week at the Travelers Championship, his best finish of the season before this week, and his only PGA Tour victory to date came at the 2019 Wyndham Championship.
He had three birdies and no bogeys on the front nine this round. He had his second and third bogeys of the week on No. 12 and No. 15, but made up for it with birdies on No. 14 and eagles on No. 17.
"It was a good foundation for tomorrow's final round," Poston said. "I had A BAD TEE shot today and I had to play conservative on the greens. It was nice to hit some good shots at the end and get some of that lost edge back."
"I just want to be patient and calm," Poston said. "I don't want to rush things. I just think about one hole at a time. In this position, I try to focus on the shot in front of me and do the best I can."
